Musicians in New Jersey

Iceni Ensemble is a carefully selected group of graduates from top Music Conservatories, including Manhattan School of Music, Ithaca College, and Columbia University. With multiple degrees in performance, conducting, and education, our musicians have not only performed chamber music alongside members of the New Jersey Symphony and New York Philharmonic but also graced renowned stages such as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and NJ PAC. Collaborations with esteemed artists like Ray Charles, The Doors, Smokey Robinson, Cindy Lauper, Anne Murray, and Margaret Whiting showcase their versatility. Beyond these accomplishments, our musicians frequently perform at New Jersey’s houses of worship, forming a finely-tuned ensemble that excels in seamless communication with each other and the audiences they perform for, enhancing event flow.

The Iceni Ensemble boasts an extensive and adaptable repertoire, perfect for a myriad of occasions. Ranging from artists such as Coldplay and the Beatles to jazz, traditional standards, Broadway hits, movie melodies, and a vast array of classical pieces, our collection empowers you to select the songs and pieces that resonate with your event’s vision. Let us guide you in curating a musical experience that perfectly captures the essence of your wedding or occasion. With the ability to personalize music for any event, we are committed to ensuring your preferences are met, even if they extend beyond our current repertoire through custom arrangements.

Founding member of Iceni Ensemble

Meet Larry Marino, a founding member of Iceni Ensemble. Larry’s passion for the violin ignited at age 8 in his hometown of Paramus, New Jersey. He earned a bachelor’s degree in music education from West Virginia University under the tutelage of Rex Conner. Building on this foundation, he obtained a master’s degree in performance from Columbia University, studying violin with Soi Kim. Larry’s musical journey encompassed years as a freelance musician with the Adelphi Chamber Orchestra, Bergen Philharmonic, and North Jersey Philharmonic, which led him to collaborate with future Iceni Ensemble members. Larry excels not only as an educator and chamber musician but also as a violinist, deftly adapting his instrument to embrace American Standards and popular genres. Through his role in Iceni Ensemble, he aspires to share the world’s classical treasures with all.
